Our Volunteers

Volunteers are a HUGE part of making Cetus Research and Conservation Society such a success!
Our volunteers help us with all aspect of our programs from answering the phone to assisting with our monitoring and education activities. We collect data about the activity occurring around marine mammals and we need your help.

Recording all the data we collect is an important part of our volunteers responsibilities. Our volunteers also help us with entering data into our computer, helping out at our presentations and community events and many other duties.

You can also prepay

How to Volunteer
Our programs are community-based and therefore most of our volunteers come from the communities on Vancouver Island (Victoria to Port Hardy). However, we do have a few opportunities for visiting volunteers to participate.

Anyone interested in volunteering in our programs should send a resume and cover letter (with a brief description of why you want to participate) to us at: info@cetussociety.org

Accepted Volunteers
Volunteers will find the Volunteer Checklist an essential list of things they need to bring. We also have some useful information about the area and it's accomodations to help you have a great experience.
