How to Get There

There are a few routes to choose from:

1. From Vancouver –
Take a ferry from Vancouver to Nanaimo on BC Ferries, schedule information here - http://www.bcferries.bc.ca/

2. From Nanaimo –
Either take a bus or drive north on Hwy 19 to Port McNeill. You can find bus schedule information online at - http://www.grayline.ca/victoria/schedules/main_schedule.shtml

There are also flights from Vancouver to Port Hardy, Port McNeill and Alert Bay if that works better for your you.

3. From Port McNeill –
Take another ferry from Port McNeill to Alert Bay

4. From Port Hardy –
If you fly into Port Hardy or take the ferry to Port Hardy you can either take a taxi into Port Hardy and catch the bus to Port McNeill or you can take a taxi directly to Port McNeill.

Where to stay in Alert Bay?
